As one half of the dynamic classical music duo 2Cellos, alongside Luka Šulić, Hauser has played a pivotal role in popularizing classical music and redefining its boundaries for contemporary audiences.

From a young age, Hauser exhibited prodigious musical talent. Born in Pula, Croatia, he began playing the cello at the age of eight. His early passion for the instrument quickly set him on a path towards musical excellence. Recognizing his potential, Hauser’s talent was further nurtured at prestigious institutions, including the Royal Academy of Music in London and the RNCM in Manchester.

Hauser’s breakthrough came when he joined forces with Luka Šulić to form 2Cellos in 2011. The duo gained international acclaim for their unique approach to classical music, infusing it with elements of pop, rock, and other contemporary genres. The duo’s rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” became a viral sensation, showcasing Hauser’s and Šulić’s ability to reimagine well-known tunes with a classical twist. This success paved the way for their self-titled debut album, “2Cellos,” released in 2011, which featured a mix of covers and original compositions. The album’s eclectic tracklist, ranging from Vivaldi’s “Concerto for Strings in G major” to Guns N’ Roses’ “Welcome to the Jungle,” demonstrated 2Cellos’ versatility and broad musical influences.
